Cost breakdown

What St Kitts & Nevis citizenship really costs

A single applicant starts at USD 250,000 on the contribution route. Here is every government, due diligence and professional charge behind that headline, and how it moves with a family.

St Kitts & Nevis has run the oldest citizenship by investment programme in the world since 1984, and it prices accordingly. Applicants choose it for the depth of its track record, the absence of any residence or visit requirement, and the accelerated processing option when a file is time critical.

As with every Caribbean programme, the arithmetic has two halves: the qualifying investment, which is either spent (contribution) or held (real estate), and the fee layer, which is spent either way. We quote our professional fee separately from every pass-through charge, so you always know which number is ours.

Where budgets slip

Three costs people forget

Due diligence is charged per person

Every adult in the application is screened and billed individually, and children aged sixteen and over carry their own charge. A couple with a dependent parent has three adult due diligence lines.

The seven-year hold has running costs

Real estate applicants carry management, maintenance, insurance and local property taxes for the full holding period, and resale value is never guaranteed.

Accelerated processing is an extra government charge

The 60-day option is priced separately by the Citizenship by Investment Unit. We confirm the current figure in writing rather than quoting a number that may have moved.

Questions

Cost questions we are asked most

How much does a St Kitts and Nevis passport cost in total?
A single applicant contributing to the Sustainable Island State Contribution starts at USD 250,000, plus due diligence and enhanced background screening of about USD 17,500 per adult, legal, agent and government processing of roughly USD 20,000 and around USD 4,500 for certificates, apostilles, translations and passport issuance. Our professional fee is fixed and quoted before you engage us.
What does a family of four cost?
Budget about USD 50,000 for a spouse and roughly USD 25,000 for each further qualifying dependant on top of the main contribution, with due diligence and screening charged individually, near USD 17,500 per adult and USD 9,500 per child aged sixteen and over.
Is the real estate route worth the extra outlay?
Approved condominium or share interests start at USD 325,000 and a single-family private dwelling at USD 600,000, each held for seven years. The capital is an asset rather than a spend, but resale is never guaranteed and the holding period is the longest in the Caribbean.
How much is the accelerated 60-day option?
The accelerated process carries an additional government charge on top of the standard fees. We confirm the current amount in writing when we scope your file, because it is set by the Citizenship by Investment Unit and changes without notice.
Are there ongoing costs after approval?
There is no residence requirement and no annual government charge. Plan for passport renewal at the end of its ten-year validity, and, on the real estate route, seven years of property management, maintenance, insurance and local taxes.
